Student Discipline

The students will be required to observe all the rules and regulations formulated by the institute as well as by the University of Health Sciences Lahore. Each student will have to give and undertaking in writing, also endorsed by his parent/guardian that he will observe the rules and regulations as laid down by the institute and that he will not take part in any political party.

Duration

It is four-year full time study program spread over eight semesters, two semesters per year. Each semester has at least 18 weeks duration for teaching and examinations etc.

Project

Students are required to complete a Project in 7th and 8th semesters as prescribed scheme of studies of BS in Biotechnology. The choice of the final project is at the student’s discretion. However, consultation with the advisory board is compulsory. Students have to submit a detailed write-up of the Project and may be required to give a presentation and a final viva voce will be conducted from the research report.

Award of Degree

To be eligible for the award of four-year BS in Biotechnology, the students are required to complete all courses and an internship report in the end, according to prescribed scheme of studies with at least CGPA 2.50 out of 4.
